Moving Passengers and Cargo

Los Angeles County Rail & Transit Projects include subways, light-rail, buses and shuttles to nearly every corner of the Greater Los Angeles area.
The ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles are pursuing multi-million-dollar projects to enhance their rail systems. This will not only expand the port’s on-dock rail capacity, but also improve rail transit along the 20-mile, Alameda Corridor that connects the national rail system near downtown Los Angeles to the ports.

Additionally, new transit lines grow the light rail network connecting a number of communities. These include the Crenshaw/LAX Line, Purple Line extension, Sepulveda Pass Transit Corridor and East San Fernando Valley Transit Corridor.
Construction begins in 2020 for a high speed train project connecting Las Vegas to Palmdale and Rancho Cucamonga.
