Happy #TriviaThursday! Here is our question this week:

Do you know how many people fly out of LAX every day?

A. 89,000
B. 241,000
C. 350,000
D. 110,500

The answer is B. 241,000!

In 2021, LAX served nearly 88.1 million passengers for a daily average of 241,000 people! LAX offers an average of 700 nonstop flights daily to over 110 destinations in 42 United States.

Projects like the Automated People Mover (APM) are crucial to the advancement of the Los Angeles International Airport. The project is an electric train system on a 2.25-mile elevated guideway with six stations – three inside the Central Terminal Area and three Outside. The APM project will reduce traffic and create more than 2,000 construction jobs, with 30% of those opportunities reserved for Los Angeles residents and highly impacted communities near the airport. LAX broke ground on the project in March 2019 and is expected to begin serving LAX passengers sometime in 2024.
