In the latest episode of the Rebuild SoCal Zone Podcast, host Jon Switalski speaks with Dr. Ray Wolfe, Executive Director of the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA).  SBCTA is responsible for cooperative regional transportation planning and furthering an efficient multi-modal system for San Bernardino County.

Dr. Wolfe speaks about balancing the needs of residents and goods movement, specifically the challenges the agency faces in managing the growth in commuter traffic and increase in truck traffic when state policies don’t support adding capacity on roads and highways. Speaking about the impacts of these policies on local communities, Dr. Wolfe says, “many of our communities are lower in the socioeconomic category than communities across the state, so these state policies today are having the unintended consequence of further burdening those communities.”
