At Rebuild SoCal Partnership, we’ve been at the forefront of efforts to bring long-term safety and mobility solutions to the I-15 corridor — one of Southern California’s most vital transportation routes. Through partnerships with local officials, labor, and industry, we continue to advocate for the investments needed to make this corridor safer and more efficient for everyone who depends on it.
Interstate 15 is a critical national corridor that moves goods, workers, and travelers between Southern California and the rest of the country. It serves as a key artery for commerce — connecting the ports, logistics hubs, and manufacturing centers of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties to the High Desert, Nevada, and beyond. Yet despite its economic importance, the I-15 has also been named the deadliest highway in California, underscoring the urgent need for investment and modernization.
A new op-ed from San Bernardino County Fire Chief Daniel Munsey highlights the dangers travelers face and the urgent need for infrastructure investment along the I-15. With the proper funding and planning, we can make I-15 a safer, more reliable lifeline for the communities, commuters, and travelers it serves. To echo Chief Munsey’s message, state and federal leaders must act quickly to fund these critical improvements before more lives are lost.
