When asked why they don’t contact their legislators about infrastructure issues, many people reply that they don’t know how to reach out to these politicians. During a segment on NPR, journalist Cokie Roberts — whose parents Hale and Lindy Boggs both served as members of Congress — offered her insight on how to contact legislators so they may better receive your feedback and requests. She says tremendous weight is given to some forms of communication over others.
